Shakespeare Plays

Presentations of plays prescribed in the Junior and Senior Cycle curricula. Each production remains true to the original text and full of its dramatic storytelling.

With the talent and skill of an ensemble of actors and creative team, we lift the famous words off the page and bring them to life. The productions offer invaluable support for students. They are an enjoyable entertainment for all, including those who will not be asked any questions afterwards!

Summer Shows

Our summer shows, for school groups during the week and families at the weekend, mark the end of the school year and the start of the long holiday break.

The emphasis is on fun and excitement with well-loved stories like the Roald Dahl classics: James and the Giant Peach, where the whole garden is alive with magic – Fantastic Mr Fox battling wits with Boggis, Bunce and Bean – and The Twits, that horrible pair of tricksters who get their comeuppance.

Christmas & New Year

Fantasy, fun, music and corny jokes combine to make a seasonal treat for the young at heart around Christmas and the New Year.

At just over an hour, this compact, high-energy show has something for the young – and not so young! Shows have included homegrown variations of Stinky McRinky, and Agusta Wind in stories that weave a magical spell around the likes of Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Robin Hood.

Other Productions

Presentations of well-known plays and other works that explore more modern or innovative approaches for theatre.

Examples have included Frank Pig Says Hello by Pat McCabe, Love Letters, the play by A. R. Gurney which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, God of Carnage by Yasmina Rezaand, and Good Evening Mr Collins by Tom MacIntyre.
